White Dog lay against Steve's left leg and Quinn sat under his right arm as they both shared bites of shredded beef tacos that Steve was divvying up. They had been cheated of their normal Sunday routine because the group had spent the day packing all of Michael and his mom's belongings and putting things into storage. His mom is having a hard time rebuilding herself and it looks like she will need long term care for at least 6 months; Michael will, of course stay with us but it seemed silly to keep an empty apartment for all of that time. The move was organized and went quickly. White Dog and The Other White Dog did not complain about missing the loading and unloading in the hot midday sun, instead sleeping in the cool breezes inside of the house. Afterward, the crew shared a New Mexican meal as a "thanks" ...guacamole, quesadillas, tamales, carnitas, chicken enchiladas, and sopapillas (with honey) combined perfectly with cervaza fria on a very warm (in spirit and in temperature) afternoon.

We are glad to see the day went well -

I'm sure The OWD and The OWD helped with the organisation!

Lots of hard work from you for the benefit of your sister and Michael. You are one wonderful family. Glad the pups were cooperative and then appreciative of their taco tidbits.

Every once in a while, it's nice to change up the routine a bit, isn't it BFF? Especially when you can guilt the adults into giving you scrumptious food - even if you DO have to share it with the OWD.

You did a really good thing yesterday, so be proud of the kindness and love your family so willingly gives to others.

Love you,
Prinnie

What a wonderful meal! I love Mexican food so I'm drooling here. :)

I haven't blogged about it yet but I adopted a puppy last Sunday. He is one of Myra's puppies (Charlie's nephew). He was originally adopted my another family but it did not work out so they returned him to my cousin. My cousin asked me if I want to take care of him and I said yes.

I did not expect him to come into my life but it feels right. Will tell you more about it.

Love,
Irene
