White Dog decreed that today was to be a day of no demands; a day to just step back from everything that has bombarded our family of late and to recenter. Unfortunately, Steve could not take the day off from work, even though White Dog tried to talk him into it. But we three spent the day napping, sitting on the breezy porch and watching the hummingbirds, avoiding thinking too much, and just generally recharging our energies. Tomorrow we will be in a better place to open the door to life’s buzz and adventure and wonder but for now we are satisfied just being together, hiding from the world, and seeking nothingness.
