White Dog was having a circular debate with Steve about dinner. She maintained she was not hungry; he was listing all of the reasons it was important to eat. My Girl can be stubborn. Steve knows that I have a special understanding of how my daemon thinks so he was not insulted when I intervened.
"OK, WD, skip dinner. You won't fade away from one meal missed. Or passing on pistachio gelato for dessert. Or from lack of bedtime treats. I get it you are not hungry. Been there myself. Not tonight, of course, because I LOVE pistachio gelato, it is a favorite. Hey? Isn't it one of yours, too? Oh well."
Next thing, she was leading Steve from her bedroom. "Come on, dad, let's eat! No chance of gelato first, is there?"
Well, Dad Steve certainly makes a good case for eating, right? :)
