I awoke to drool on the side of my face and a cold nose on
my cheek. Without my glasses the face that greeted me was blurry but easily
recognizable. I felt another nuzzle and reached to push her face aside.
"Leave it," I mumbled as I slowly became aware.
The high winds have stirred up LOTS of dust which has just
about everyone in Albuquerque, including me, sniffling and sneezing. At lights
out, I carefully place a tissue on the bedside table so it will be instantly available
should I awaken with nose issues.
Lilly is obsessed with tissues. It's one of her favorite
snacks. Apparently, my calm girl discovered my emergency sheet as I slept. Her
gentle attempt to steal it nearly succeeded. "Go see Zsofia," I told
her and shifted the tissue to the headboard above my head.
