White Dog made Steve's birthday a special event filled with fun, good food (sushi!), and afternoon home matinee, and civilized celebration. Her hostessing skills were truly put to the test when Jesse brought an orange tabby to the house. White Dog kept her composure, not even barking at Cheeto (soon to be George) who had come with Jesse but was leaving with Richard, his new adoptive "dad." Drawing on my example of how I deal with Douglas who always shows up for our Christmas Eve Open House, White Dog simply focused on those she enjoyed and ignored the poor traumatized feline. We were proud of her restraint.
