As I left the car upon arriving home from work today, I was greeted by cries and woos from inside the house. "Dad, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? We've been so worried about you!", wept Bailey (and Zsofia and Roman and Opal and Diva and Lilly).

"Okay, I confess. I ate lunch out before coming home. Someone at the office mentioned delicious tacos they had yesterday for Taco Tuesday. I started getting this craving for Mexican food and knew that we didn't have any at home. There is this tiny hole-in-the-wall restaurant that sounded like they had authentic Mexican food, so I went all by myself to eat lunch. I still miss going out to eat with Momma, but decided to satiate my craving. I knew it was authentic when I walked in the restaurant door and everyone was speaking Spanish. It reminded me of many places where Momma and I ate in Mexico."

Platillo de Flautas

Bailey reprimanded me, "Dad, I trust that afternoon treats will be served as soon as you take off your jacket." "You can count on it, Bailey," I demurred.
