"Dad, it's been nice having you home all afternoon without you working. You still have a job, right? I would worry about our dog food supply if you didn't have a job." expressed Bailey with concern. "Well, Bailey, I have just a few hours of vacation time that I need to use before the end of the year, which is now. That's why we're having a relaxed afternoon spending time together."
"That's what I was hoping," Bailey remarked. "So.....we can have dinner a little early tonight, right"
