White Dog and I were both surprised when Steve announced at lunch that he had taken the afternoon off. We celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary (with White Dog's help) amid the still blooming flowers and mountain views at the deserted Elena Gallegos Wilderness Area. It was as if no one else existed...and that felt marvelous!
