White Dog yelped in pain and Gregg dropped to his knees to make sure she was unhurt after he accidentally stepped on her tail. She was fine but played it up in grand dramatic style--coming over to Steve, Candace and I in turn for petting and sympathy. White Dog even performed a truly inspired "Dead Dog"--more for the treat than to make Gregg feel guilty. An extra treat from Gregg "Cured" the pain and won him forgiveness.
