White Dog spent the day getting to know Howard and Jim. She was shy at first, curious but keeping her distance. Jim won her over when he went for a mid afternoon walk with White Dog and Steve to the Co-op's ATM and to sip coffee on the Starbuck's patio. Strangely, it was Howard, though, who received the lingering "good night" as they prepared to return to their hotel.
