White Dog was the deciding factor in the natural mouse deterrent we chose for use in the garden where Steve just this morning discovered tiny nibbles on the plants and a wee burrow entrance under the shed. For lots of reasons, primarily White Dog's safety, we did not want anything toxic. I preferred not to deal with rodent corpses (or captured live mice) which ruled out traps. Fox or bobcat urine spray, though probably very effective, would have caused White Dog to roll where we sprayed--that is if bobcat pee is anywhere near as inviting as the neighborhood cat's markings and droppings are to her. So it was decided that we would try the super concentrated mint oil as a "keep out" spray...at least White Dog will be pleasantly stinky if she rolls in it.
