White Dog was so unnerved by the fierceness of this afternoon's storm that she came and hid under the computer desk. She was pressed so tightly against my feet and ankles that I could feel her heart
jump with every gigantic crack of lightning. We reassured each other and together ignored the torrents of water, lashing winds, and sputtering electricity. Poor White Dog has been jumpy all evening since.
