White Dog trembled like a quaking aspen as we waited at the vet's office. She was in my arms, pressed as tightly as possible against me and whimpering softly. Offering a continuing stream of reassuring patter and rhythmic strokes I managed to somewhat calm her by the time we went into the exam room. Using the "Box.Wait" command Steve was able to coax her out of my arms onto the scale but when the tech took her in the back to draw blood White Dog shot me a look of pure terror. When they returned, White Dog crawled back into the safety of my arms but was otherwise calm. Her heart worm test was negative and her teeth are "perfectly excellent" so no cleaning needed to be scheduled. The best news for White Dog is that she does not need to go back until February!...and she received a greenie for good behavior.
