White Dog acts as though she is mad with me. She spent all day avoiding me, refusing my offers to play or scratch her ears, not participating in our usual
past times of reading together or watching me paint. Instead, when I enter a room White Dog leaves it. When I pet her, she flinches as if I were beating her. She does not seem ill or injured. And yet White Dog cannot get
enough of Steve's attention or mere presence. I don't understand and it kind of hurts my feelings.

Hi Susan,
Is Siku not in the mood? I do that sometimes with my Mom. She gets a bit upset too when I do that, but after a while she seems to get that I'm not in the mood for play sometimes. Hope Siku will be in the mood soon!

I feel for you, Susan. Maybe Siku is just having a teenager day where mom is the evil one and Steve is king because of the fishing trip. I'm sure she will come around and know how much you love her! We had a dog that would "get a snit on" for any reason at all, and once she felt she had punished us enough, would act as if nothing had ever happened, and we were her best friend again. Wishing the same for you!
I sometimes ignore my parents. If they come and give me a hug, I try to get away, especially if it's at night. However, they went on a week trip and when they got back, I followed them around the house like a shadow! Whoever said dogs have 2 second memories was wrong!
Siku, I bet you were just having one of those days and guess things are back to normal now? My mom says she hopes so.
