White Dog has looked forward to Solar Fiesta all week and fortunately, Steve's foot felt improved enough so we could all go. A crabby guy at the ticket table tried to tell us that no dogs were allowed to this outdoor event but the guys at the gate waved us all in. We checked out the latest advances in solar and building technology, chuckled over the newest fad of drying clothes by hanging them outside on a clothes line, and enjoyed conversations with like-minded conservationists (and Eskie lovers). White Dog drew many compliments and behaved beautifully (waiting patiently as we gathered info and visited booths). Dragon got to ride in the new shoulder tote that White Dog and I made for Candace; they, too, received attention. Oh, White Dog talked Steve into buying a Zap! Xebra electric car...and both were amazed when I gave the idea a thumbs-up...more on the new car to come.

Siku, my grandparents are always talking about that Zap company. I think they bought stock in it hoping it is the next fad. If your parents buy the car for you, my grandparents will be very pleased.

Siku, your Mom might not be as quick as you, but it's about time she finally figured out how to get your signature included!! Yay! Congratulations!

Wow, your family DID buy a Zap! Can't wait to see pics. I bet it is the perfect size for you.

Santa Rosa is not exactly close by, but it is driveable. How come your parents don't want to buy a book on the mechanics of the Zap car and learn that way? I guess the Zap school might give first hand experience, plus you get a vacation out of it. If you do come out this way, let us know!

My dad says all our electronics that use recharageable batteries (such as the digital camera, cell phones, and the iPod) seems to have batteries that end up getting weaker and weaker so that we have to recharge them more often now. Will the Zap battery do the same thing?
