White Dog leaped on the bed when she heard the predawn helicopters checking conditions for this mornings opening mass ascension for Albuquerque's International Balloon Fiesta. For the next week over 200 hot air balloons from all over the world will add colorful punctuation to our famous blue skies. White Dog loves the sight...and all of the visitors in town...but she hates the sound of the propane tanks firing to lift the balloons as they float overhead (it really hurts her ears!).
Once we were thoroughly awake White Dog jumped off of the bed but quickly returned with hoof (a prized chewie) which she left next to me as she jumped down again and came back with stuffed Stolen for Steve. Then White Dog climbed on top of us both and wished us a "Happy 28th Anniversary" After a few minutes of family cuddling, White Dog headed out of the dog door to give us a few discrete moments for a celebratory kiss.

Awesome! Hot air balloons are neat-o. My Mommie saw lots of them in Reno a few years ago. That was before she adopted me.
Happy anniversary to your parents! On Oct 4th, it was my parents' anniversary, too.
We don't like the sound of balloons either. We bark at them (and the goodyear blimp) when we see them.
Wow wow wow hot air balloons! I've never seen those! I want to ride in one, can i? WHAT a picture THAT would make!
