White Dog sat on the bed with us at 2am--all of us quite awake thanks to the huge college boy party going on next door. "Why is it necessary for their music to be loud enough to make us shout on our own sleeping den?" she whimpered. "Why can't they be more respectful of their neighbors?" Steve moaned from under his pillow. We had already tried knocking on their door to ask for some relief...no one answered. White Dog suddenly twisted her ears, listened, and ran out of the dog door. She stood at the front gate barking with such ferocity that Steve got up to see what was going on. White Dog was barking--a welcome, I think--to the two police cars that had pulled up in front of the party house. Half an hour later blessed silence reigned. "We should send whoever called in a complaint a pizza," White Dog muttered as she nestled into sleep position. "And a bouquet of roses," Steve added, yawning.

Ugh! I remember those college days, but I pray I wasn't so disrespectful to my neighbors! We have a very minor version of your challenges with our renter neighbors behind us - up until 3am partying away as if they are the only ones in the world. Fortunately, we have the phone number to the owner and after a few calls, it seems to be getting better! I so empathise with you!!!!
