White Dog was in sniffing heaven tonight as we made the do-ahead dishes for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner. But she was greatly disturbed when cake batter overflowed the pan and burned on the oven floor. The brief stinky smokiness set off the smoke detector which caused White Dog to howl. Richard brought over the bird to brine overnight before it goes in the oven at 9am. The thing is as big as White Dog! White Dog does not share my concern about seven people being able to eat 22lbs of turkey.
