White Dog seemed to have an unusual number of trades for scraps of paper and wrapping "bits" and I understood why when Steve went past the computer room and offered this clue: : Ask your dog who is taking things out of the wastepaper basket to make treat trades with you." At just that moment White Dog came and tapped my knee so that I would notice the empty scotch tape spool that she had in her mouth.
