White Dog's head snapped around from the computer screen to stare at me in horror. We were reading emails and learned that we had mistakenly shipped Prinnie's Christmas package to Isis and visa-versa! Both had written to let us know of receiving the unfamilarily tagged gift. "What have you done!" White Dog wailed, "Everything is all messed up. What kind of Santas are we?" I tried to calm her by explaining that the gifts were very similar and that our friends were very understanding, and that each would enjoy the gift that fate had decided for them as much as our original choice...to no avail. "I am embarrassed to death," she lamented, "I'll never be able to show my face in DWB-land again...no one will ever speak to me...my best friends will hate me!" (White Dog can be very dramatic). "I'll be sure everyone knows that this was not your doing," I cooed, trying to placate her. "We'll blame Steve who actually sealed the boxes and took them to the Post Office!" She perked up a little. "We'll let your friends know that he has been fired as an elf and in the future all of his work will be closely scrutinized by you. Your friends have humans...they know how we are!" At that White Dog sighed and climbed off my lap.
