White Dog followed Milo, the iguana, at a safe distance as the lizard wandered around the house. I heard Milo scrambling over the stack of magazines I had put in the hallway targeted for the recycle box. Milo is three-legged and not graceful...and her claws are not kind to paper products. When Milo had climbed into the tub and was trapped awaiting her bath, White Dog brought me one of the magazines whose cover was now shredded as if to say, "It wasn't me who did this!"

Milo sounds like an interesting gal...I don't think I've met an iguana up close before! I can just imagine you bringing your Mom the magazine with your cute and innocent look...*wink*

Iguanas get baths?

you live with an iguana? Dad said he wanted one once. He never got one- because we all know that MOM would have been the one stuck taking care of it.

Milo is 4-1/2 feet long and moved with mom and dad from Chicago ten years ago. They rescued her when she was a baby and had a broken leg. The pet store was going to feed her to the snakes. Unfortunately her leag could not be saved, but she is ok with only having three. Milo gets a bath four times a week; she likes to swim for exercise and needs the hydration, and when she's done she potties in the water. Sometimes when it is not bath day but she wants one, Milo walks herself to the tub and climbs in!
