White Dog ping-ponged between us as we wrapped and tagged gifts. She had to inspect and approve each package both before paper was applied--and after. Several times she held up the process by putting a paw in the middle of things--once it was a good thing because a price sticker hadn't been removed (I wonder how she knew)! White Dog also help maintain the order and cleanliness as we worked. She constantly picked up scraps of wrap or bits of plastic and brought them to us for trades. By the time we paused mid-evening for a light supper, White Dog was famished and tired. She wolfed down her dinner but watched from (and napped in) the leather chair as Steve and I continued a while longer. White Dog did manage to find a store of energy to share the coconut and hazel nut gelatoes that Steve ran out for as our reward!
