White Dog is not fond of New Year's Eve; the middle of the night assault of noise from partiers, car horns honking from the main road, and the crack of fireworks (and worse) makes her nervous. We usually go to bed before midnight and awaken to comfort her at twelve (yes, we are old). Tonight will be different as friends from Tucson have come to visit. We will go out for a mid evening dinner. It is like;y we will actually be awake to ring in the New Year. White Dog will be glad for the company but I doubt it will calm her midnight agitation. (Maybe she would enjoy a glass of wine!)

White Dog - brother and I hate New Years and the 4th of July too! We don't like those loud sounds. Brother hides on mommy's lap, and I run around and bark, trying to tell them to go away. My family kept brother and I up late on New Year's eve - something about hoping the TV would be louder than the noises outside.....but I still heard them!
