White Dog is beautifully coiffed after a morning visit to the groomer and Steve is equally resplendent after an hour with Alberto (hairdresser, artist and Aztec dancer extraordinaire). Not wanting to overshadow Sunday's incredibly thoughtful Party gesture, I gave Steve his Hobbit birthday present (for those who are familiar with the JRR Tolkien prequel to Lord of the Rings) over dinner tonight. He loved the Sierra Club "Redwoods" dress tie. White Dog sat patiently and looked for her gift but alas it has not yet been delivered and she must wait.

Your Dad was groomed for a whole hour??? I only get groomed by my Mom in 15 minute increments. I hope your Dad got a treat! Ah, that would be the redwood dress tie! I hope you get your treat, too.
