White Dog always gets very excited when I bring out the sewing basket. She assumes that it signals repairs to her stuffed toys. Even though all of her treasures are currently active and in fine shape (or at least not in need of mending), White Dog started lining up her toys next to me: Mousie, Lambie, Monkey, Cuddle Bone and even Daisy (which is a rubber chewie) came for fixing. White Dog sat expectantly as I inspected each one. My review was not valid until I actually opened the sewing basket and placed each toy next to it on the table. Only then did she accept the toy's return with an "all is good" diagnosis. Finally, White Dog lay surrounded by her toys and allowed me to hem Steve's pants--the real reason for bringing out the basket.

Just adorable! How smart you are, White Dog, that you know when mom might have to "heal" one of your toys. It's a good day when all is well and your toys are not in need of repair, though, isn't it??
