White Dog just loves her role as Steve's assistant when it comes to weekend chores. After an early morning run at the park and a hearty breakfast which included her new favorite, chicken apple sausage, White Dog and Steve got to work. First they did some trouble shooting on the Zap! electric car which seemed to be having trouble holding its charge--the team found the problem (loose cables) and tightened everything up and then went for a test drive...all is good now. Then they cut back some spent roses and put coffee grounds around the roots (White Dog did the gentle digging to place them but then wanted to dig them up again to roll in them). White Dog watched Tortuga in the yard while Steve brushed out the persistent spider webs from the interior corners of his enclosure. Steve then thoroughly sprayed the walls down with rosemary water to discourage their return. White Dog saw Tortuga safely back to the pen. Finally the team did clean up "poop patrol." Both were hungry and tired...after liver sausage sandwiches both took a restorative nap, able to sleep well knowing their tasks were accomplished!
