White Dog has us puzzled. Steve took her to the Park early this morning and they had a great time. She has been getting tons of attention and nothing unusual has happened in the household. She is eating well and shows no signs of being ill. Yet when Steve came home from work he noticed a small puddle in the doorway to the kitchen. White Dog had peed on the floor! This is something she has not done since she was 5 months old! When she saw Steve cleaning up the spot, White Dog became very contrite and hid, ears lowered, avoiding eye contact. We both made a point of calling her out and cuddling her--telling her that it was all right and that accidents sometimes happen and that we hoped she was not sick. White Dog relaxed finally, but still we are concerned. Any thoughts out there?

Hmmmm - that's a tough one, especially given that this is so out of character for her. Maybe the beginnings of a slight bladder infection? We typically have had this problem from time to time with cats, but not so much the dogs, until they were much older and their bladders began to fail.

Poor baby - Please keep us posted.

If this starts to happen regularly, then maybe it's a urinary tract infection which would call for a visit to the vet.

Hmmm... how old is siku again? I would wonder if it might be a urinary tract infection. if it happens again, take a sample of it to your vet- have them send it out. This will save her a trip to the vet unless you really have to bring her in. :)

Poor siku. that's so strange. One time a few years ago- my brother was sitting on the couch, and isis had just been there next to him. He looked and saw this puddle there. he never saw her go or anything. We were all so puzzled- and she never did it again. A fluke i guess?

You have received good advice...tell them to watch closely for any other signs...and hopefully it is nothing serious.

Siku, I hope you're ok. If it is a UTI, I hope it goes away soon! My Mommy loves bibimbap too! Here is a great website for korean food.
