White Dog gloried in the perfect Fall day we had today. The outdoors with its bright clear skies and 70 degree temperature and ground coating of crunchy fallen leaves was irresistible and she spent the morning sunny herself on the deck (or maybe conceptualizing). In the afternoon White Dog, energized by the crisp breeze that sprang up, began an earthworks project in the far corner of the yard. After rolling to find the exact right spot, she used her face to bulldoze the leaves out of the way. The she got to work digging. White Dog was busy for quite some time and took only one break to come in for nourishment in the form of treats and a drink from my green tea. She came in late in the afternoon, as I was painting. White Dog was covered in leaf bits and her paws and entire underside were dirty. White Dog ignored my questions about what she was making or if it was complete...so I guess it will be a surprise next time Steve makes a patrol of the yard.

Hi Siku!
We just checked our messages and see your note! This is so exciting..... I can't wait to find out what it is!!! Siku, you and your Mom and Dad are the best! Your parents have very good hearts. They are the sweetest people I know. Your family always donates to charities and friends in need, as well as for fun activities like the Halloween costume contest that Hansel is supervising. Your family has a generous heart.
Love,
Hana the Dog
p.s. Sorry for typos. My Mom is transcribing this for me and she has messed up so many times!
Oh yeah, that must be some encyclopedia if it's got American Eskimos in it! That is very neat! I wasn't thinking.... of course you wouldn't give an animal encyclopedia to someone if it didn't have a section on dogs in it. Hee hee!
I bet Brianna loves her new encyclopedia!
Oopsie, I meant Brenna.
What a perfect day...great weather, leaves for roll around in, and digging! I can't wait to hear about your Dad's patrol of the yard.
Love,
Teddy Bear
Fall leaves are the best!!! way to make great use of them. =)
So our questions would be: was she burying or digging? Perhaps we'll never know. We're sure, though, that she was enjoying her time.
