White Dog was almost glad when Jesse came by to clean today. Normally White Dog takes offense at the idea of vacuuming to remove her beautiful white strands from the carpet, but she has been blowing so much coat these past few weeks (odd, for November) that even she was beginning to feel as though she was drowning in an ocean of white floof. The turning point in White Dog's attitude, I think, came last night as she and Steve played house ball. The ball rolled way back under the couch. When she retrieved it, the slightly drooley ball was covered in so much white hair that she spit out the ball and refused to play with it any longer! As Jesse finished vacuuming each room, she took out the dust collection container and let White Dog sniff, then the two of them walked outside and emptied the hair into the garbage. Steve stopped home during the process and commented how clean the girls were making the house...this surprise visit was a good thing because by the time he got home after class the carpet was already beginning to glisten under a new dusting of Eskie white!

My mum says she knows just what you mean.. I am shedding my lovely ginger fluff.. I cant see what all the fuss is about myself.. Mum just says oh Jasper look at all this. She realy thinks that is small price to pay for having me. MOL
Hi Siku - my mommy says that you and I are so much alike - I guess because I, too, like to leave reminders of me all over the house (and clothes and cars and....). Then my brother leaves HIS hair all around, and I have to go back to my masterpieces and re-do them to make sure that MY fur covers over his.

Prinnie
I do the same thing. My Mommy has gone through 6 vacum cleaners in the 6 months. I do agree with you, I leave love hairs all over the carpet.

Consider it a gift ... a very special gift ... and be sure to save some and keep it in a very special place.
We don't particularly shed, but Moma does gather a big harvest when she grooms us, and she's got bags and bags of WFT hair from both her wires before us. AND she has spun some of the carded wirey hair into beautiful skeins of yarn. Someday, she says, she'll make something of it.
Thanks so much for posting the link to the WorldWide Moments for Snickers on your sidebar. It's gonna be an amazing feeling, knowing that we are all simultaneously sending Snickers our love and support.

Siku, do you hate the vacuum like I do? I know that it picks up our Eskie hair but is it really necessary when our hair will cover the house again in a matter of seconds after the vacuuming is done?

Ah yes, the never-ending saga of shedding pups. Everyone wonders why we have a white carpet - it hides the pups fur:)
Hope you have a good weekend.

My mom hates that I have so much hair. She always complains about it. She heard a contraption called the "Furminator" and is out to find one for me. It sounds scary!
