White Dog laughed out loud as we looked through Steve's and my photo album of our 1980 wedding. I needed a picture of the "original" us for the program I am doing for the Recommitment Ceremony. "Dad has such poufy hair!" she snickered, "And you look like a crazy Victorian grandma with all those little buttons on your sleeves!" "I am going to lock you outside if you keep up the smart comments," I threatened. "Your hair is longer than mine!' she continued. "A brown tuxedo...oh my dog!!! It is a good thing you got married in the woods!" "All right, enough" I said "Don't you have holes to dig or something?" White Dog headed for the dog door but could not resist humming a few bars of "Staying Alive!" as she slapped through the door. "It was soooo not like that," I said into the empty air, "Our group was into Talking Heads not the BeeGees!"

Oh the 80's. My Mommy and Daddy are children of the 80's. Acid washed jeans and stretchy stirrup pants. What WERE they thinking?

So. If your people were first married in 1980. That means they lived through the 60s. At least part of them. They may be too young for this, but tell 'em about this website that was just brought to our attention: http://tinyurl.com/y8czwu7 . Agatha and Archie sent it to Moma. It has gobs of good reading material. For a long winter night.

Jake and Fergi (much too young to understand any of this reminiscing)

What "kid" doesn't think their parents came from a whole other planet?? Talking Heads vs. BeeGee's, hu?? It could have been so much worse (you could have chosen the BeeGee's). You didn't have a big boufant hair-do, did you???

Can't wait to see the pictures of the alien you and Steve!! Many years from now, you can show Siku that her 2009 stylish self may not EXACTLY be what she looks like then!!
