White Dog and family must take a long sad trip to Chicago. This morning Sue's dad passed away and we must return to Sue's birth city to attend to his burial. White Dog is excited about the journey since she has never been to Chicago, but wishes it were under happier circumstances. Both Steve and White Dog have been wonderful comfort and organizing godsends as we throw this all together in an attempt to leave early tomorrow morning. Sue's dad has been ill and inflicted with the worst maladies of old age for some time so in a way, his passing is a release, even though we cry at our loss. We will most likely be away from the blogs for the rest of the week but we know that your loving paws and hands are there in love and support.

So very sorry for your loss. It is very hard to lose a parent - our mom and dad have dealt with losses of theirs over the years, never easy. Safe travels to all and our deepest sympathies.

We are very very sad to hear about the loss of Sue's dad. I know it is very difficult to go through. We are sending you lots of purrs and prayers both for comfort and for a safe trip (I am in the area - it is very cold so please stay warm too!)
Siku and Steve: Please wrap your paws and arms around Sue and help her feel our love and support. We are all with you every mile of the way as you travel the road back home one last time. Know you are all so loved.

I am so deeply saddened by your loss. Please know you have my heartfelt sympathy and are in my thoughts and prayers during your sad time. Please take care of yourself. And you are blessed to have White Dog and Steve as your helpers and comforters.
I used to live in Chicago when I was little. I loved the city but have not been back in a while. Sorry you are returning under such sad circumstances.
Take care and we look forward to your return.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss. Please give your Mom lots of hugs and kisses. We know that her Dad is in a better place but those of us who are here mourn the loss. We will be praying for safe travels and for your great Mom.

Siku. Steve. And especially Sue. We are so sad to read about your loss. We can only imagine the role Sue's father had in her own personal journey, to become the woman, wife, dog moma and friend that she is. But we are confident that he was instrumental in helping to shape her into the one that we've grown to love. Losing him must be so very hard. Please know that you will all be in our thoughts and prayers as you make your trip to Chicago. Stay alert. Pay attention. And notice the love that surrounds you, even if it's hard to see or hear or feel. We are here for you.
Love
Jake and Fergi, Sally and Nina
we are all thinking of you and praying and purring really hard. Ben is whining for you because obviously he can't purr- no matter how much he tries. Please be safe, and careful, take your time, we will all be here when you return.
Oh dear. We are so sorry to hear about this. We understand how his passing is a type of release, but it is still so sad at the same time. Take care of yourselves.
