White Dog tried to keep herself busy on yet another bad weather day filled first with sleety snow and then rain and as always (it seems lately) no sun. She took all of her toys from her basket and arranged them across the room; some which lived in the bottom of the basket she had not seen in a long time. After taking stock of her cache, she put on her engineering hat and tried to make herself fit into the toy basket for a nap. White Dog was not very successful at finding a comfortable containment and gave up the idea for a bed nap. Since she was on the bed, it only made sense to turn down the blankets and rearrange the pillows as well. After a restorative snooze, White Dog was hungry but did not want kibble; Hana Hearts is what she tapped me and requested. After three treats I told her that more treats would require a trade. It was raining and she really did not want to go out; I found her looking for treasures to trade in the waste basket and on the night stand. She pouted at being caught by staring mournfully out the window and ignoring me. Later, as I worked on the household budget, White Dog assisted by shredding the unneeded parts of the bills. We celebrated yet another month of solvency by sharing a peanut butter sandwich...and hoping that "the sun will come up...tomorrow..."

She is a doggie shredder. Maybe she could busy herself with shredding documents on rainy days.

There sure has been a LOT of rain lately. That means my parents can't take me outside on a harness. I suppose that's just as well, as I am still sketch about the outdoors.

Rainy days are tough to stay entertained - and out of trouble.

Aw, baby girl, the sun will come out soon. If it doesn't, insist that mom and dad bring you and your toys to our house because with you and me together, there will always be sunshine to warm our hearts!

Love you,
Prinnie

The sun will come up tomorrow!!!:) I hope that the weather gets better for you, Siku. We have not seen the sun in quite a few days either. The weather people said that it might make an appearance this weekend. I wish we could have seen you napping in your toy basket.:)

Love,
Teddy Bear

hey Siku Marie,

I will cross my paws that the sun does come out tomorrow for you! I finally saw a few rays today, on and off for a few hours, but now rain is coming.

That was a great idea to clean out your toy basket. Spring is coming, I should do the same to mine, except all my toys are in a crate.

First- hide a bee- can be found cheaply on amazon! it's a good toy, i keep a bee on each level of the house. Basement, main floor, upstairs! this way, i can always have a bee. Sometimes i make them meet up on the first floor. Sometimes, i just carry the hive around. Sister thought it was just too cute, and ordered it for me.

Second, i'm sorry there wasn't anything to trade that didn't get you looks from mom! I hope that the weather clears up for you- it's been gloomy here too.

Days like this are sooooo hard. And we just don't understand why we let Moma fall so far behind with our blogging friends, when days like this pass and they are perfect for checking in. But no. It seems the gray days sometimes make everyone gaze out the windows.

Hope it has turned sunnier...
