White Dog always finds a way to put a positive spin on any situation. She has convinced herself (and almost Steve) that the reason for his cold is to generate kleenex for her amusement. As his cold works its way out (mostly through his red, raw nose), Steve's constant companion has become the tissue box...and in his wake he leaves spent, wet wads. White Dog knows these are germ-laden and should be disposed of immediately so the Fluffy One "throws herself on the live grenade" so to speak and eats what ever kleenex she can reach. Although I appreciate her brave loyalty, I have asked her to stop this disgusting habit...to no avail. Alternately, (when she is tissue-stuffed, perhaps?) White Dog will gather the offending paper, shred it into the smallest pieces possible and then scatter it all over the house. This does minimize contact since the scraps can usually be vacuumed up. I have suggested to Steve that perhaps the best solution would be for him to attach a plastic bag (which could be emptied as needed) to his box to hold used medical waste...White Dog has kindly volunteered to handle the disposal!

Siku, you are so helpful. I know that your Mom and Dad appreciate all your efforts in keeping your house clean...while having a little fun with the tissue.:)

Hehehe! We missed the tissue brigade, but understand that the Yorkies at Gramma's played Siku's role. (ICK, says Moma) Now, instead of tissues, we are focused on tissue paper. And we are VERY aware that there is a VERY special package of treats and two VERY special bones on our hearth (next to four VERY special placemats.) Moma keeps saying we have to wait until NinaGirl get home and that won't be until this weekend! NO FAIR! We did NOT resolve to be patient! (But we are trying!)

Now that is one thing we have not tried to help out with, but you are such a good pup to try to help your humans.

She also insists that should she evfur need to be reskhued, as long as she has a tissue in her pokhket, Meeshka would find her!

I don't chew and/or tear them BUT I do redistribute them: from the khan to the floor nearby!

Nurse Siku, they just don't understand, do they?? Our humans just have no appreciation for the good work that we do - ok, maybe they do a little, but geez, what's a girl to do when her dad needs her help?? Mom tells the story about my sister that I never met, Dugan, and how she used to pull the toilet paper roll with her teeth and run through the house with it streaming behind her. I guess it was a good thing it wasn't used!!

Love, hugs and well wishes to dad from my whole family.

hey Siku,

Great job! I, myself, am a cotton ball hunter and eater. Never tried the tissue but sounds good to me! I think you are doing a great job of picking up after your human!

I do hope your dad gets better soon, but then I wonder, what will you have to munch on?

Suka

p.s. Tail wags that you are better!

It seems tissues are some kind of fine delicacy?

Ok, so I have to say this is where I am glad I have kitties - they only try to eat fresh clean tissue. Siku, you are helpful but it is kind of a gross help you are doing! But the visual of you thowing yourself on the grenade I got in my head is priceless!
