White Dog and Quinn both rushed in and jumped up on the bed when the explosions started. Both were so shaken that White Dog didn't even notice at first that the OTHER White Dog was on the bed! I had been engrossed in watching Evita for the 100,000,000th time and was wailing away with Madonna so at first I did not notice...somewhere close by (maybe at the UNM Stadium?) a long drawn out volley of bursts (25+ minutes) seemed to indicate that a fireworks show was being presented. Neither dog likes the sounds and in fact, they get quite unnerved, so I turned up the movie's volume and draped an arm over each stroking them until White Dog was calm enough to request Quinn's exit from the bed. We had a triple round of treats to distract ourselves as we resettled for the rest of the flick...White Dog curled tightly against my side; the OTHER White Dog along the side of the bed when he could reach up and receive reassurance...and we begged, in song, for Argentina not to cry for us!

There is nothing like the warmth of a Mommy's arm when scary noises are present. I don't like the other White Dog in our house on the bed when I'm the bed either.:)

I don't like fireworks either. I stay as close to Beth as I can when they go off....isn't it nice to be protected like that?
They both know exactly where to go for comfort:)
Happy Sunday.

I don't like those scary fireworks either.
Fireworks are pretty to look at but the noise they make is quite scary. Good thing you had your Mommie to protect you.
Oh No!! You read what happened to brother, the other one and I last week when we heard loud bangs...so scary!!
I am SO glad that you both had mom to comfort you and keep you safe.
Love you,
Prinnie
