White Dog and Quinn had just about reached the breaking point of boredom due to the heat. They had napped all they could; it was too hot to enjoy eating much; any real activity just made them pant with exertion. So they were very happy when Gordon stopped by to visit and hang out. He offered a change of pace, new conversation, ear scratches and new sniffs (he has two dogs of his own). White Dog and The Other White Dog were wonderful hosts but became divided in their attentions when a while later my poet friend, Deb, came by for some creative exchange. It was starting to feel like a party! As Deb unpacked a picnic nosh of cheese and french bread and salad and fruit, the White Dogs exhibited perfect party manners, and won slivers of a beautiful local cheddar and bits of mozzarella from the salad. Gordon took his leave shortly before Gregg and Candace arrived to pick Michael up for a errand. White Dog and Quinn got more attention as they chatted for a moment and wondered where Dragon was (at home napping). The White Ones debated if Deb and I lost it from the heat when, once again alone, she read her "Stopped by the Flashing Light Blues" and I sang the bass riff (ba boom ba boom)! By the end, White Dog was at my side woofing softly along and Quinn was reading the lyrics from the notebook on Deb's lap. Suddenly the day was not so boring...in fact, it was now evening. Deb took her leave just as Steve pulled in from Class and Gregg, Candace, and Michael returned.
Milo Update: Still not eating and wants to stay low to the ground. She spent the day swimming and lounging in the tub. Her behavior is more and more making us think she is gravid but...

Wow what a fun day that sounds like! And cheese is always a winner in our book!
And we are still purring and praying for Milo - hopefully it is just that she is gravid and not an injury!
Cheese is good! I hope Milo improves....
Oh no...I hope Milo will be okay.
