White Dog and The Other White Dog know that everyone in the Blogworld supports animal rescue in one form or another and we are grateful that our community is so active in making the world a better place, one dog or cat at a time.

The White Dogs’ friends, all of the members of the Thundering Herd, have been asked by Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation to lead the annual Downtown Dog Walk August 7 at 10 a.m. in Waynesville. To raise money for this wonderful rescue, the Herd is sponsoring the big Walking with The Herd Contest!

The rules are at this link and the entry form is HERE

Enter the contest to win a t-shirt of YOU walking with The Herd as they lead the big parade. Checks and forms have been arriving at Chez Herd all week and they have already raised enough money to pay for Sarge’s food bills for one month. One whole month. Let see if we can make that SIX months!

Last year, Sarge’s rescued over 2,000 dogs and cats. Imagine what they will do in 2010 with your help! If you can, please support these wise and beautiful Sibes as they “Walk Their Talk.” The White Dog and The Other White Dog...and even The Honorary White Dog... thank you!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. On behalf of Qannik, Cheoah and Ruby (all who found their homes with us via Sarge's) and the 6 dogs and cats that Sarge's saves from euthanasia EVERY DAY - thank you.

A fun way to raise money and awareness for a wonderful rescue center...I personally feel kill shelters should be against the law and was very sad when I read about the original Sarge; what a lovely way to pay tribute to his memory with this great place that is a true refuge for animals in need...kisses sweet friends...Calle, Halle, Sukki
