White Dog and The Other White Dog watched this video with me and turned as one to get my reaction. "That was one of the most heroic and amazing things I have ever seen in my life," I said brushing away a tear.

"That is exactly why I get so upset when people say we are just animals without any real feelings," White Dog replied. "We four-leggeds seem sometimes to have humans beat by light years when it comes to compassion and caring about others...and yet we are only property in the eyes of the law and our brutal deaths at the hands of your higher order species most times just goes by ignored."

"I cannot defend those of my species who are rabid and festering with cruelty but you must admit that there are so many others match the amazing giving shown in this video...like the dog rescue volunteers who went into New Orleans after Katrina, or the strangers who bring home starving beaten wretched street animals and spend hundereds of hours and dollars nursing them back to spirited life."

"There are good and bad in every species," Quinn quietly added. "I learned that on the street. But the pup in the video who risked his life? He is outstanding by any standard!"

What an amazing video! And what an excellent point - we wish everyone could understand that pets should not be considered to just be property.
