White Dog and Quinn, in a rare moment of camaraderie, lay side-by-side against my legs as I addressed envelopes. Both are aware that the Art Exhibit is only three weeks away and they sense the building excitement. White Dog has been through this cycle with me before; in fact she has a special Opening Night "Artist's Inspiration" ribbon collar made by Hana's (and now Prints the Cat's) mom in very chic black and white. This will be The Other White Dog's first encounter with the public side of my painting.
This show will be extra special because I am sharing the experience with two fellow bloggers: Lisa...Hansel, Tesla and Benny's mom from The World of Hansel...will exhibit her photographs; and Shar...mommy to Prinnie, Digby, and Atka at Prinnie's Yaps...will display her clayworks. This collaborative effort is wonderful and amazing, especially since this will be the first time all three of us have all met in person.
White Dog shifted and asked for a belly rub. As I leaned down, she licked my hand and whispered, "Don't be nervous, momma!" "Oh, Sweetie," I said as I stroked her soft fur, "There are still too many things to do...I don't have time to be nervous...yet!"
