Ocotber 23, 2010

White Dog and Quinn responded to Steve's after school challenge instantly. When Steve came in from teaching he laughed at the three of us all cuddling to keep moma warm, "what are you going to do in January?" he taunted as he went into the bedroom to change...into shorts and a tshirt.

"It's 58 degrees, for dog's sake, are you thin haired Chihuahuas or a double coated Nordic breed?" He questioned. "Hey, that's not fair," The Other White Dog challenged. "I wanted to sleep on the porch this morning and you said it was too cold!" "Besides," White Dog interjected, "We're just doing this for moma. She's doesn't have a double fur coat!" "And in January," I added bolstered by my White Dog support, "the temperature is only about 5 degrees cooler than now!"

"All right, then, White Dogs, who wants to go to the cold, grey overcast Park for a run?" Both were instantly transported to the car waiting for him to get the door open.

And just to prove that WD and TOWD were not weather wimps, they requested coconut paletas from the ice cream stand (which closes soon for the season) to be eaten outside at the picnic table!

A day at the park followed by paletas sounds like the pawfect way to spend an autumn day.:)

My Momma is like your Momma - it is 57 degrees this morning and she is freezing. When Dad wakes up, he will most likely dress like he has been dressing for the past several months - shorts/t-shirt - while Mom will put on long sleeves, jeans and take a jacket...

Well, we could say it was a nice reward for keeping the mom warm. Hope you get some more warm temps. It is warm and humid here, but much more bearable than summer.

hey Siku Marie and Quinn,

I am so proud of the both of you! You braved the cold! I knew you had it in you! You may be little, but you two are tough! Isn't the cold so refreshing? And to have ice cream too, so impressive!

Next challenge, rolling in the snow!

Hi Everyone - we love your expression, *weather wimps*. Surprisingly enough, I'M the wimp.

It's been raining all day today and even though Mom held an umbrella over me on walks, getting my feet wet was very annoying. Forget little doggie boots - my sister bought them and I vetoed the idea.

Ollie (the meteorologist))said that Albuquerque should be getting sunny weather starting on Tuesday. We hope you all have a great week.

Hugs and yips,
Cappy and Ollie

Coconut paletas? If they are half as good as bizcochitos, we'll try them anytime. Anywhere. Any weather conditions! (OurGirl shared this weekend ... she is so good to us! And we didn't even have the VeryImportantJob of keeping her lap or feet warm.)

You all are the best.
Your friends, Jake and Fergi and Family

Las Cruces decided to get "cold" last week. It has been in the 60-70's! David keeps saying, it's not cold! It's nice! I say, more excuses to cuddle on the couch with my puppy!
