White Dog and Steve went out early this morning to see about turning Pumpkin's console into a more suitable "throne" for her highness. They were able to cobble together a passable perch that will do until the padded deluxe console pet seat arrives in 10 days or so. To test the temporary arrangement, White Dog, Steve and the not to be left behind, Quinn, took a ride over to the Park.

Seems the Park District has not yet realized that winter is close at hand because the sprinkler system left a beautiful frosty sheen on the grass and the sidewalks were icy slippery. The Other White Dog, our LA boy, was not too sure what to make of the fact that his feet were not entirely under his control on the thin coating of ice...he tottered like an old grandpa. WD, partially to stretch her legs on the cold grass and partly to show off gave TOWD ABQ winter lessons.

When everyone was frosty cold with Popsicle noses and wet frigid paws, they came home and jumped on the bed to snuggle against me as I hid under the blankets and gasped at their nuzzles.

hey Siku Marie and Quinn,

I am furry jealous that you pups are already seeing frost! I had rain today, but no where near Winter-type weather. I want snow!

Quinn, good thing you were cautious on the ice because it can be dangerous if you are not used to being on it. But it can also be fun, when you are used to it, to slide around. The humans especially seem to enjoy watching us pups navigate on ice.

I bet after your super chilly morning in the park that jumping into a nice warm bed with your human was pretty pawsome! That is the perfect way to spend a cold morning!

Slip sliding across the grass! We prefer snow to frosty dew:) Now there is a plan for the human here to think about. We could use some royal thrones in our transport vehicle too.

Happy weekend.

Weird how you guys can be cold there and here in Ohio it was 71 and sunny outside. I am sure we will be paying a price for this great weather soon though.

:) what a great day. We love you guys. We have been seeing frost a lot. The mom makes bad words when she sees all that frost and has to get out of bed earlier to melt it off the windows before going to work...
