White Dog’s Two THOUSANDTH post is tomorrow and Wednesday is her sixth Barkday! In an amazing happenstance of fate, the coincidence of these two events allows us to throw a back-to-back celebration. Now regular readers know, the White Dog Army takes celebrating VERY seriously…and this milestone two-fer calls for extra special uber festivities!

Starting at 12:01am tomorrow, December 21st and continuing until 12 midnight on December 22nd The White Dog Diaries will be holding a comment-a-thon. For every comment left on White Dog’s blog during that period we will donate fifty cents to Canine Cancer Research…and another charity (that one of you will choose). We would love it if your comment included your favorite White Dog story or told us when you first started following us, but any comment will do…and you can leave more than one (in fact considering the cause, you should)! You don’t even need to be a blogger. Be sure to leave your name in the comment if you cannot be found through a blogosphere link. How’s that for easy?

But wait…as they say…it gets better! White Dog LOVES the story The Hobbit and has requested (in addition to a lamb shank dinner and TOTAL obedience from her brother and sisters, ok and Park time alone with dad) that her Barkday celebration be thrown in the manner of Hobbits. So, since momma can refuse The Princess nothing, every comment is also an entry to our Gift Give Away! On Thursday, we will put all of the comments into a random generator (a hat) and select a bunch of lucky winners!

What will we win, you ask? Well, prizes will range from sponsoring a Khyra Transport to treats to donations to a charity of your choice. White Dog has selected prizes that will be fun as well as benefit the needy.
