March 16, 2011

White Dog had my Planner open and was looking over the pages. Quinn pawed through the mail and sniffed each piece suspiciously. Nuka watched the news channel. Puff sat in the window perch warning off anyone who even came close to the house. Over breakfast the White Ones shared their findings.

"Nothing on the calendar today. No birthdays, anniversaries, special events, appointments. Nada," started WD. "The mail contained no invitations, summons or announcements of life changes for us," TOWD confirmed. "Nothing in breaking news," this, from AWD. SAWD finalized the discussion, "And everything seems status quo in the neighborhood...don't see the Publisher's Clearinghouse Bus or the S.W.A.T team not even the mailman!"

At that word, all of The White Dog Army had an impromptu mailman drill of assuming position and barking their warning/greeting.

When the practice concluded all agreed that based on current conditions that this was going to be a "normal" day. Small woofs of gratitude dopplered across the house as each found a comfy spot and settled in for what they were confident was going to be a quiet post-breakfast nap.

P.S. I want to thank all for every woof, purr and word of birthday kindness and positive thought that was sent my way yesterday. As I moved across my very special event, I felt the energy and the warmth of your friendship. It provided a glow that filled my soul and had me smiling until bedtime. Know you are, each of you, so appreciated and cherished. Always. Sue

My job is the same as Mighty Quinn's, I have to sniff and approve every letter and magazine that comes into this house. If its a box for me, I get to open it!

Thanks for what you said on my blog about being sweet ANd strong willed. I am happy that people like both!

Kisses,
Stella

Hi! We are going to draw winners for the raffle tomorrow afternoon! You should go pick what you want to enter for! We're trying to contact everyone who hasn't picked their things yet, so nobody gets left out... we would feel so sad if we forgot to include someone after you helped us out so much!!!

I missed your birthday. Happy Birthday, one day late! It sounded like you had a stupendous day, starting with the white dogs all waking you up in such a nice way!

Normal days are fun too! Good snoozes and relaxed times.

I love your writing style. Eloquent. Each entry of the Diary is a story, but one that keeps us glued to the end. And what a lovely end! I feel special!
Are you published?

Sometimes the days that don't have an "event" on them are some of the best days to be found. :)
