White Dog double time barked the rest of the White Dog Army back into the van after their Saturday morning Watermelon Mountain Ranch walk. She reminded TOWD, AWD, and SAWD of our evolving tradition of coffee and shared scones after the workout and had no difficulty in getting the team loaded quickly...and dare we say, expectantly?

Today was a workout. Now that the group has decided to ccoperate as a team there was less nagging and complaining and more "let's get off the beaten path and explore this...no this...no this...and this." Poor Steve was totally entangled several times as the WDA illustrated that there is more than one path to any point. But they pushed on and explored together, which is gigantic progress...that is until White Dog decided that she needed to get back to check on me (as I was watching hawks and daydreaming near the van). Steve unclipped her from her lead and we all stopped to watch the white flash flow effortlessly and gracefully as she raced toward me. White Dog is incredible when she runs; even the others woofed their approval.

Steve, Quinn, Nuka, and Puff continued across the mesa a bit further and then trotted back to heed the "get loaded!" command. Nearly back to the car, the Army flushed a roadrunner who skittered across their path and nearly distracted them from the idea of a warm lemon berry scone and ice water...

...nearly but not quite!

Wow. Tough call - scones or a roadrunner... The Army is disciplined :-)

What a fun day. I can just see the blur of beautiful fur as you run toward your Mom, Siku.:)

That sounds like such a fun outing with a yummy ending! I think seeing a road runner would be so cool, beep-beep!

It must be quite the challenge of hand dexterity to manage four leashes at one time. Mom can do three pretty well, but four is a bit much by herself.

That scone sounds might appealing to the Momster, might just have to join you for one of those coffee outings.
