White Dog was going through the final check list. "Quinn, are all of Puff's toys out of the way of the dog door? We need to keep stuff put away so YoYo doesn't stumble over things we leave out." TOWD zoomed to check out the doog door and returned with a "Paws Up!"

WD read down the list. "Nuka, remember that you have PROMISED not to try to steal YoYo's bed the very first night he is here!" Another White Dog looked shocked and batted her eyes. "Why EVER would you think I would do that?" "Because you stole Quinn's bed...and then Puff's crate...and then Quinn's mancave..." all three White Dogs answered in unison. "Don't worry, I will treat him like he's my own brother...oh wait, he IS!" she exclaimed. "You promised," White Dog said sternly and made a note on her list.

"Puff, are his leash and bowls ready for his arrival?" SAWD trotted out to the kitchen and sniffed every one's bowl before returning. "Bowls in place, clean, but empty," she reported. "And here is his leash; we better pack that to go with us." "We are ready," White Dog summed up; proudly applauding the organization and effort put out by The White Dog Army over the past few days.

I looked at White Dog and asked if her most important task had yet been accomplished. She laid her head down and contemplated her answer. I knew she would not let me down. "It has not been easy," she started. "I have thought about this a long time and consulted with the rest of TWDA. We have decided that our newest recruit will be known as YoYoMa, Yet Another White Dog, YAWD." "Well done," I commended the group. "Your new brother will, I know, be glad to so quickly become part of your pack."

By this time on Tuesday we will be nearly home with our precious cargo. YoYo says so long and thanks to Mesa, Baily and Big Carl as he flies out of Los Angeles around noon on Pet Airways (first class in the cabin)! He arrives in the late afternoon in Mesa, AZ, where he will be met by Comet and Bleu's Girl who will drive him to Winslow where we will all meet up. By 8-9pm, YAWD will officially be welcomed by his forever family and share in his first ever taste of duck jerky. We will head back to Albuquerque where the newly reconfigured WDA will spend YoYo's first night in his new home.

And yes, there will be photos...and stories to tell...and tears to share...and happiness to spread.

hey White Dog Army,

Very exciting! I just can't wait to hear all about the adventure of bringing him home! I am also impressed by how well you pups got everything in order for his arrival. Good job! Duck jerky for every pup! ;->

So thrilled that everything fell into place so that he could become your bro-fur! Good luck and have a safe trip!

YAWD will be so happy to meet the WDA, And he is in such great paws already with Big Carl, Mesa, and Baily, and then with Comet and Bleu's Girl. We can't wait to hear more about the newest addition. YAWD is perfect, especially given the "Y" connection.

We wanted to go to the airpot to meet YAWD but out mean girl is going to hog him all to herself and then she's going to take him to a park to play (that we've never even been to before!) Our girl will call you once she has him all safe and sound (she doesn't have a fancy phone to be able to get online).

Wow, I have missed so much! I have to say that I am not surprised - it seems like every time things get crazy at my place to where I can't do much visiting, I come back to a new memeber of the White Dog Army! And YoYo - such a cute face (went back to catch up). And so so lucky to be joining such a wonderful, loving, patient, understanding household! We can't wait to meet the new arrival!
