White Dog and The Other White Dog left this morning with Steve. The others hung by the door and window looking very rejected. It was spa day for WD and her second in command, something that Nuka will probably not experience due to her skin condition. Puff will get to go as soon as she gets her final HW clearance and YoYoMa may go along if the strangeness and new sounds do not trigger anxiety.

"You three are MUCH luckier," I said in an attempt to make them feel better. "You get the specialty services of the Stupendous Stephen, hairdresser to the most elegant pups!" Tails started wagging. "He comes to you, none of that spa silliness, and each of you gets individual bathing, toweling brushing and treats!" Suddenly staying home seemed tres chic and AWD, SAWD and YAWD settled down to nap in preparation for their appointments.

WD and Quinn DID look fabulous when they returned mid afternoon and they were full of all the neighborhood gossip about which pup in the 'hood had a bedwetting problem and which kitty was seen with six different Toms in one night! Quinn came over to nuzzle my hand and I squealed at Steve, "WHAT is around his neck and side of his face?" "Dirt" was the reply. "He just came from the groomer SECONDS ago...how?" I asked looking at The Mighty Quinn who showed no remorse. White Dog hopped up on her chair and gave her brother The Look. "He jumped out of the van, took two steps and started rolling in the place where we planted the new bulbs," Steve filled in. "It will brush out!" WD grunted and muttered, "BOYS!"

Later, after the end of the workday, Chez Smith opened for it exclusive business and three special Eskies got THEIR turn at being pampered...and at lots of treats.

We are glad we don't have to do this!! Our dog-cousin Minnie got groomed the other day and from the look of her picture, she isn't much of a fan either - but as a white dog, she needs it sometimes. :)

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friends!

hey White Dog Army,

What a busy day! Baths are never fun, but being pampered and having lots of treats is the best! Cute photos!

Very interesting gossip by the way. BOL!

All wwhite and fluffy. so worth it to look good. I am sorry though but I laughed at the thought of a roll in dirt straight after a spa. Boys indeed.. Hugs GJ xx

isn't it true that old smells are more familiar,,,,
new smells need to be modified,,,
that is why a good roll in the dirt can be a good thing , but not to humans of course

Once, a very long time ago, we left our pair of labs at a boarding kennel while we were out of town. We requested that they be groomed before we picked them up.

After picking them up, we stopped to take them for a walk in an open space area. They both made a beeline for a cranberry bog and emerged completely mud-covered. That was the last time that we ever paid to have our Labs groomed!

Of course, they have short hair that sheds water - very different from your White Dogs!

I'm glad that everyone had a good day there!
