White Dog took time on Thinking Tuesday to consider the idea of inspiration. She and The White Dog Army received this wonderful award from Bailey and Nala at BaileyBeGood! and WD worried that we might not be truly deserving. "We don't do anything heroic like the volunteers still doing rescue in Joplin," she said. "You don't drive hundreds of miles every month just to bring dogs to their land of opportunity and second chances." White Dog continued, "Our ideas and actions have never encouraged anybody to change their lives or do anything tremendous. We are just ordinary!"

"We are an ordinary family facing ordinary challenges, Little One," I responded. "Maybe our form of inspiration is that we show others that if we can somehow muddle through and be true to what we believe then it is possible for anyone to do it." "But we blog in a community of real heroes who lift our hearts with what they do and write about and make us soar with inspiration and dreams." White Dog pressed.

"This is also true and we should acknowledge those blogs that fill us like that, but there are many paths to inspiration," I said. "Let us be humbly grateful that Bailey and her sister find some magic in our story and words that gives them hope or pause or strength or courage to stretch."

Thank you, friends at Bailey Be Good for this awesome award and the gigantic compliment that comes along with being called an inspiration. White Dog, The Other White Dog, Another White Dog, Still Another White Dog and Yet Another White Dog find special inspiration in watching another Eskie adjust and grow with her new sister.

Inspiration for us comes often from unexpected blogs or in ways that we do not anticipate; it is one of the things we love most about this sharing and giving community. There a few who we turn to when we seek inspiration and revitalizing. We owe special thanks and want to share our award with Two Special Wires; Romping and Rolling in the Rockies; Arwen's Pack; Ra Husky; Tweedles--That's Me!; and 24 Paws of Love. Each feeds our hearts and challenges us to find the best in our selves. If you do not know them, please make a visit to their blogs and say Hi.

You are a true inspiration and deserve the award in a huge way! I love how you've come through for YoYo Maw and all of your other rescues. You're amazing.

Thank you so much for recognizing us. I agree with you that being an "inspiration" is one of the biggest honors that I can imagine.

I have been erratic with commenting because my internet is simply terrible. We hope to get a new service in the next month... but that's a long time away!
