White Dog and The White Dog Army
Wonderful World Wednesday
White Dog and The White Dog Army believe the most wonderful news the world could receive is that the cancer monster has been defeated once and for all. Hope is a powerful weapon and it drives the advances that we pray will mean that someday...soon...cancer will touch no one.

This year, 2011, has seen this beast take too many too soon; it has caused an ocean of tears and a desert of pain. But we have made progress for both animals and humans and one tiny step at a time we are pushing cancer back. Hope is the thing that guarantees we WILL win and as the year winds down, the WDA wants to leave you with this...

A moment of hope...and a vision of how wonderful a cancer-free world will be:

Man's Best Friend: Key to Brain Cancer Cure?
DECEMBER 06, 2011   CBS
CBS News correspondent Debbye Turner Bell reports on an experimental vaccine for a deadly form of brain cancer that's being tested on dogs that stimulates the patient's own immune system to fight the tumor, and perhaps even prevent a recurrence of the disease.

I hate cancer. I've heard that vaccines are going to be the wave of the future for cancer. It's great to hear that things are moving forward on that front. I have a friend who is a researcher in that area.

My previous chocolate Lab, Acadia, got a brain tumor and died within a month. I wish that the vaccine had existed then.
