January 15, 2012

White Dog got to go first with Steve as he ran out for warm croissants from the bakery. All of the others jealously pressed their noses against the front door as they skipped out and zoomed off. Puff rode along to pick up some photo supplies Steve needed (she loves going alone because she gets to sit in White Dog's captain's chair). Quinn wanted...and received...just a short a walk around the neighborhood and then he wanted to go home.

YoYoMa must have gotten a snooter full of Spring air from somewhere for he was full of macho studliness and bravado. He was driving poor Puff to distraction wanting to play the "Hey Baby Let's Mambo" game and was getting a little too pushy as he walked past gentle Quinn. So he got to come with to the photo shoot (I am doing an ad for Dragon's dad)...the others sighed with relief at the thought of Yo not being in their faces for a while.

There was plenty of time for the Park when we returned so everyone was harnessed up to go. Yet Another White Dog decided that he needed a nap after an afternoon of supervising photography so he opted to stay home. The rest of the WDA gratefully trotted through the grass; White Dog as usual, plowed across the field full-speed until she was spent and then calmly walked alongside the others.

In the middle of last night, we heard a groan and then a snap come from the office. No pup barked or stirred so we decided investigation could wait until this morning. In our nearly 100 year old home, there is an extreme shortage of closet space so Steve has a portable ancillary unit in the office. During the night, the hanger rod had given way (yes, Steve loves clothes). So tonight the project involved attempting to fix it (no go since the rod is aluminum and cannot be straightened) and then assembling the extra unit we had thought at one time to put up in the basement and just never got around to. Things seem to be going well but one-by-one Steve's supervisory help is succumbing to the need for a post dinner nap.

Good help is just so hard to find...especially on a Sunday!

When the WD Army finishes up with this project maybe they would like to pop over and work on some of the things on our to do list.

We are surprised that no one got up at night to see what this noise was about. My imagination would have provided me with lots of other noises to go with it.

We've heard the snapping of a closet rod in the middle of the night and it is indeed scary. What a fun project day.:)
