White Dog and the others already know that they will be unable to eat the spicy cuisine of tomorrow's Ethiopian fest at our house BUT trust the White Dog Army to figure out a way to make the best of a situation.
Once the chicken and beef and lamb are slow cooked with the intense spice blends characteristic of this African cooking, the dishes will fall outside the range of "safely digestible" for White Dog tummies. But in order to make the stews (wats) there is leg of lamb to cube, and beef to thinly slice, and chicken to debone...plenty of opportunities for a nibble from the butcher...or a quick saute of scraps from a tender hearted Steve to be added into dinner tonight.
And after, a pup can lie in the kitchen doorway, snooter pointed toward the stove, deeply inhaling the smells of browning vegetables, broth simmering, and exotic spices sizzling in oil. A taste of injera bread, just because White Dogs are the most pampered pups on the planet, and a nibble of the aiyab cheese (that I made) were enough to make everyone happy and contented and ready to doze.

You are making me hungry! :)
Hey, snoozing is always a great way to spend the day anyways! Something smells good!
Wow, that sounds de-lish! We're so glad to hear the WDA figured out a way to get in some of the goodness going on in the kitchen. :)
Mmmmmm...I can almost taste those smells cooking up from over here! Snoozing and napping is a good thing to do when you can't eat! Hey, if there's any extra...feel free to send it on over here! ;-)
