February 4, 2012

White Dog, Siku Marie; The Mighty Quinn; Nuka Angel; Puff the Magical; and YoYoMa have a special request for today.

Today, February 4, Is World Cancer Day.

You all know our dedication to finding an end to the c monster's reign of terror which has touched everyone with its pain and horror and heartbreak. We fight in every way we can think of to advance the awareness and research and courage that will ultimately lead to victory. But today we ask something more personal, we need you to help fight the war on a more intimate level.

We have so many friends in our own community who are bravely battling and cancer touches people in every corner of life. In honor of World Cancer Day, please reach out to someone--two- or four-legged-- who is suffering with this devastating disease. Let them know you stand at their side with support and hope. Give them strength and understanding. Share the power of love and friendship.

The c monster can throw an awful blanket of isolation, fear, and hopelessness over those brave Warriors and their families. Count coup on the evil beast by reaching through the veil to extend a hand of comfort that powerfully says, "You are not alone!"

Your voice has the power to make a difference. Together we can make cures possible. And one day the White Dog Army's prayer to the Universe, "Let Cancer.Touch.NoOne" will be answered.

That is such a simple but ever so important request and it is a though you felt from a distance what we did today. I believe we will beat that evil monster, we just hope it is soon for all those suffering.

Thank you for the inspirational posts, WDA Mom. Cancer is an awful disease. I've had family members die of it as well.

I do hope that someone finally finds a definite cure so that nobody will have to suffer from it anymore.

Huggies and Cheese,

hey White Dog Army,

Beautiful, touching post. May your woofs of inspiration and importance reach out to every ear to hear. I have read many sad stories of the c-monster hurting animals and humans, and hopefully with help such as yours, it will end soon. Thank you for doing your part. You are all amazing!

Such a beautiful, wonderful post today. Great strides have been made but the C monster lives on to continue the fight...a fight we must never give up on. WE WILL WIN!

What a very moving post ans yet how very simple. We stand with in this and yes we must all do so. The dreaded c has touched us all and it must be stopped. We Can Win.... Mum says yes she understands so well about Quinn as she says it always has to be forever and not just when things are going well. Take care. Love GJ xx

What a wonderful idea. We've lost a good furry friend to this disease, and will do whatever we can to support those who have it. :)

Woofs & hugs, <3

Couldn't agree more, we all need to take a stand against that ugly C word.

I didn't know about this day or I would have posted about it too. Perhaps I knew deep in my soul because I spent the 4th feeling sad - too sad to post.

Thank you for your candle. We send it outwards to all those whose lives are ravaged by this disease.
